Fitness Superstore’s refurbishing process is second to none. Our certified technicians ensure that each piece of equipment leaving our warehouse is aesthetically appealing, and more critically, mechanically sound. The refurbishing process uses the latest technology to ensure you top quality exercise equipment that is built to last. To prove our confidence, all refurbished fitness equipment will automatically come with a free 90 day parts & labor warranty, along with the option of purchasing an extended 3 year parts & labor warranty.

The Refurbishing Process

Step 1. Initial Inspection
A machine arrives in our warehouse and is diagnostically tested by one of our certified technicians. The following functions are tested:

Heart Rate Monitor
Display Console (Including all LEDs, buttons, and programs)
The resistance, speed, incline, and other similar features

Additionally, our certified technicians inspect the motion of the machine for any unusual noises, bumps, grinding, or squeaking. If any system flaws are discovered, we repair the part or order new parts to install.

Step 2. Disassembly and Parts Replacement

The machine is taken apart and cleaned from the inside out. Our certified technicians inspect the machine.

Any mechanical part with 25% or more wear is replaced (even if the initial inspection was passed).
Drive belts are replaced on all units.
Walking belts are replaced on all treadmills (except Woodways).
All hardware, chains, pulleys, cables and wheels are inspected and replaced, if needed.
Batteries are replaced on all units.
The piece of equipment is then reassembled with its new parts to match the factory specifications.

Step 3. Exterior Restoration Sandblasting Booth

After machines are thoroughly inspected for functionality, our certified technicians restore them to a “close to new” cosmetic condition.
Machines are sandblasted to the original steel, if necessary (light scratches are usually hand sanded)
Machines are then repainted with the latest technology to eliminate any imperfections in the steel and prevent discoloration or bubbling.
All stickers, logos and display overlays that are worn, torn, or faded are replaced.
All plastic, vinyl, rubber, foam, and end caps that show signs of wear are replaced.
Power cords are inspected for wear and replaced if necessary.
Necessary lubricants and waxes are applied.

Step 4. Final Inspection

Before the refurbishing process is completed, we detail and test every unit one more time for ensured functionality and reliability. Machines stay fully assembled during shipping and delivery to ensure flawless operation upon arrival at their destination.
