How to Calculate Your Shipping Fee

Shipping Information, Taxes, and Other Fees

  • Shipping costs for all countries will reflect on our website upon online checkout.

  • We can ship to most ports in your country. Fees may differ for ports other than the largest. You may request for a quotation through email, chat, or call.

  • International buyers are responsible for transportation from the ocean port to the final destination.

  • Smaller items are shipped via Fedex International Ground, door to door. Items to be shipped via Fedex are subject to customs fees and VAT, which will be included upon checkout.

  • Larger items are shipped via ocean freight to the largest port in the country of destination. Shipping costs reflected on the website are based on the location of the largest port.

  • Container prices are automatically calculated based on the port of destination and the number of crates or containers. For reference on the pricing, click here.

  • Our website provides a quotation for CIF terms to the largest port in the country of destination. Should our customer prefer DDP terms, please contact us to receive a custom quotation.

  • Our website provides a quotation for CIF terms. Should you prefer DDP or EFX terms, please contact us to receive a custom quotation.

Here are the differences among CIF, DDP, and EFX terms:

  • CIF contract - The price covers transportation to the largest port in your country, and all fees associated with getting it to the largest port in your country. However, all fees after the arrival to the destination port are the customer’s responsibility. The customer is responsible for: (1) customs duties and taxes, (2) arranging and paying for transportation from the port to the final destination, and (3) destination port fees.

  • DDP contract - Customs duties and taxes are factored into the equipment's total price. The seller is accountable for arranging and paying for transportation until they reach the destination, and they bear responsibility until the product is delivered to the agreed-upon location.

  • EFX contract - The customer is responsible for picking up the item/s from our warehouse, coordinating with couriers, and all customs duties, taxes, port charges, and other fees that may be incurred to reach the point of destination.

Voltage Conversions

Many of our fitness equipment models are cordless (self-powered). Plug-in products offer a voltage upgrade option on our product page.

The pricing listed for equipment includes the standard 115-120V setup, suitable for North/South America and select countries. Note that most countries in Africa/Asia/Europe require 220-240V. For an additional fee, we can provide or install a transformer that converts your standard 220-240 voltage to the equipment’s required 115-120V setup.

For treadmills, many of our models offer ample internal space to accommodate an internal transformer, which remains hidden within the unit. This setup is referred to as an "Internal Transformer." On the other hand, most ellipticals, bikes, and steppers are compatible with an external transformer. In this scenario, the machine connects to the transformer, which is typically positioned near the machine or against the wall, with the transformer then plugged into the wall outlet.

Packaging

For orders comprising fewer than 4-10 pieces of gym equipment, depending on the type, your items will be securely packaged in crates. Here are the details of our crating and packaging process: [Overview of Our Crating / Packaging Process].

For purchases of more than 10 pieces of gym equipment, depending on the type, your items will be securely packaged in custom pallets and loaded into a 20 or 40 foot container.

If you prefer to manage their own freight to the final destination, we strongly advise thorough screening of couriers, especially if the equipment will undergo crossdocking. Crossdocking involves transferring shipping containers along the way to the final destination.

Note that once the equipment loads into containers, Fitness Superstore can no longer ensure protection for your items during transit. If crossdocking is necessary, it's best to ensure that the equipment loads directly from our container to yours.

If your equipment ships in a 20 or 40 ft container and will be handled with other freight after arriving at the destination port, we recommend crating them. We can discuss all available options with the customer, though additional services beyond the standard may incur extra fees.

Furthermore, there have been reports of equipment being handled outdoors in the destination country when customers use their own hired transportation companies. Note that fitness equipment is susceptible to damage from exposure to the elements and moisture, so it's crucial to avoid outdoor exposure whenever possible.
